Moving Forward

It’s 2020!  WOW, how did we get here?  That’s an interesting question; however, I’d like to propose a different one.  What has God prepared us for?  The difference between these questions is the point of view. The first question calls us to look backward, while the other calls us to move forward.

There is nothing we can do to change what has happened in the past. Yet, there are endless possibilities for what lies ahead of us. As Christians, we are striving to be like Christ. In this quest for perfection, we all have become aware of our own imperfections.  Paul suggests in the text below, that we move forward toward Christ, rather than turning our attention and cares toward things that we cannot change.  Christ has reached out for us. Let’s choose to reach out for Christ.  Your destiny is in front of you: MOVE FORWARD!

“I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.”
