Our Mission:

To provide affordable, quality, and inclusive childcare in a Christian setting by providing spiritual guidance to our children as well a social, physical, emotional and intellectual stimulation.

To add to the quality of life for the young children in the community by providing the highest quality of professional childcare.

To create positive memories and experiences of all our chidcare recipients and their families by generously contributing to the present and future success of our children and church.

Our Goal:

Our goal at First Union Baptist Church (FUBC) Tots and Teens Learning Center is to extend the horizons of the child and his/her family; to provide time, occasions and place for growth of imagination and interest as well as social, physical and mental expansions of children.

Fundamental Goals:

 We encourage a child’s learning and development as an individual and as a member of a group through :

 1. Small teacher to child ratios;

2. Infant/toddler/preschool programs (a Beka curriculum);

3. Before and ater school programs;

4. Appropriate supports for children with special needs – children are evaluated prior to enrollment to determine whether or not their needs can be met adequately;

5. Spiritual and moral development;

6. Loving, nurturing care;

7. A safe, comfortable and stimulating environment;

8. Adequate nutrition;

9. Continous observation of the physical well-being of the children;

10. Opportunities for new and group experiences and to master skills focusing on the child’s unique learning styles.

Each staff member is highly qualified and experienced. We provide staff development opportunities to help the staff stay current on the most recent developments in early childhood.
